Merchants who do not turn on lights within 24 hours are violently raided by Zhongxiu police

The ongoing economic depression in Zhongxiu, in order to cover up the truth and create a false prosperity, stimulate the tourism economy, the Shanxi Datong government hypocritically issued an initiative: from New Year’s Eve to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, all merchants shall keep all lights on inside and outside their shops, regardless of whether there are citizens or tourists, 24 hours a day.
Called an “initiative,” but in fact it is mandatory. Police, prisons, and other state violence agencies are tools for the ruling class to maintain control. Zhongxiu police and other henchmen, in order to obtain leftovers from the bourgeoisie masters, resolutely implement the ruling class’s directives, desperately oppressing the people.
On the night of the sixth day of the lunar new year at 11 p.m., Yue, a merchant in Datong, received a call from Zhongxiu police. They barbarically ordered him to “turn on the lights immediately! Otherwise, the public security will pry open the door,” but Yue resolutely refused. Less than ten minutes later, Zhongxiu law enforcement officers dressed in “Pingcheng Comprehensive Law Enforcement” uniforms, in a rush, holding flashlights, cut through two locks and barged into the shop, only to find the light switch. When Yue reported the incident, the police station refused to explain, saying “we can’t handle it,” and later he called 12345 to complain, but:
“Up to now, no unit or department has explained the situation to me.”
The very requirement by the Shanxi Datong government for all 17 days from New Year’s Eve to the fifteenth day of the lunar month to keep lights on is absurd in itself. Merchants are forced to pay electricity bills for 24-hour lighting, which they ultimately bear. Furthermore, the night enforcement by Zhongxiu police, breaking into merchants’ homes, is extremely brutal, exposing these bourgeois pawns’ willingness to do anything to serve their masters’ interests and gain favor, ruthlessly oppressing the people. Under such circumstances, the cooperation rate among Datong merchants reached 97%. The police station is a department of Zhongxiu police, and the 12345 hotline is also controlled by Zhongxiu, naturally siding with the Zhongxiu government, which is why they dismiss issues with excuses like “we can’t handle it.”
After this incident was exposed, the people expressed protests and condemnations against the Datong government and the henchmen police. Under public pressure, the Datong government was forced to write an apology letter “admitting” the mistake. However, this apology letter lacked sincerity and did not mention compensation for the merchants who had their doors forcibly opened, essentially just trying to appease the people’s anger and continue oppressing them. The bourgeois liberals’ attitude towards this matter is also noteworthy; they pretend to sympathize with the people, criticizing Zhongxiu government’s act of barging into shops just to turn on the lights. In reality, their opposition to Zhongxiu’s actions is only because Zhongxiu did not give them participation in governance or more “convenient” policies to better exploit the people. In this news, bourgeois liberals maliciously link socialist China with imperialist China, viciously attack China’s great leader Chairman Mao, criticize Chinese people’s love for Chairman Mao, fabricate rumors that watching Chairman Mao’s memorial broadcast was “boring,” that eating peanuts was “counter-revolutionary,” and that they were sentenced to 8 years in prison, exposing their anti-Communist and anti-people true nature.

The malls I go to all have closed doors, no lights, and no uploading of pictures to avoid fines. The government of the mid-repair is so absurd to turn on the lights. Could it be that there are really so many people shopping along an entire street at night? Even if they do, probably no one is watching the shops. It’s really infuriating and speechless. I suspect it’s a national face project, and the involved shops are uncooperative, causing the local government to lose patience directly.

Actually, I don’t quite understand what the essence of the national face project is

Local Chengdu also conducts such activities, with urban management and police regularly urging merchants to open for business at scheduled times. Some owners complain that even after doing business for a year, taking a few days off still leads to disturbances, which is simply unreasonable.

The news written by that liberal about “Personal Memory Bank | Getting rich without following plans, lighting lamps without regulations, crying without regard to levels, the county official breaking in to correct! Everything is controlled by officials” also mentioned the incident during the New Year when Xuchang Nazi police demanded vendors to set up stalls to make money, which is excessively absurd.

From this perspective, such incidents should be common rather than isolated cases. The authorities’ control over public activities has reached a very strict level. Apart from speech and ideological activities, even normal life and production are being interfered with, creating a completely fascist atmosphere.

I believe that face-saving projects are meant to cover up the poverty of the working people in real life and conceal the reality of intense class struggle. However, in this article, the face-saving project is an attempt to create an illusion of prosperity, encouraging petty bourgeoisie to travel and spend.
