Recently, a fascist individual with the Bilibili ID “A Brown Bear” has been extracting forum articles and school diaries of forum members on the bourgeois video platform bilibili, using AI voiceovers to produce low-quality videos, accompanied by insulting titles. They attempt to attack and slander the forum and its members through such means. After watching, I believe this person and the reactionary elements beneath their videos display an extremely arrogant attitude, with despicable and shameless conduct, which made me very angry, so I wrote this free discussion to share my views.
1. What is the course of the matter?
On September 11th, this fascist individual posted such a video for the first time, quoting parts of the forum article “Critique of Reactionary Games ” and accompanying it with the text “Critique of the Crazy Leftist Poisonous Grass Plants vs. Zombies.” The author deliberately used this video format to attract the attention of online fascists. The vast majority of active fascists on China’s internet are often small-bourgeois rightists, detached from social practice, consisting of petty-bourgeois students or freeloaders who live off their families, the most reactionary faction within the petty bourgeoisie. They are full and idle all day, parasitizing on their families, eating without working. In terms of social practice, they rarely experience the enslavement and oppression of capitalist families and schools. Due to their reactionary economic status, they are keen to invest a lot of time in various reactionary capitalist arts and literature, satisfying their extreme individualist ideas through capitalist spiritual opium. They are essentially the same as the so-called “Leftists on the Net” (who pretend to be Marxists, deceive by waving the banner of Marxism, and use public dissatisfaction with the Nazi government to speculate and profit, thus maintaining or elevating their class status).
As time progresses, some deceived petty-bourgeois individuals gradually detach from the so-called “Leftists on the Net,” and many “revolutionaries” have seen their identities collapse. These fascists seize this opportunity, attacking the “Leftists on the Net” on the surface, but actually attacking communism through entertainment and fascist jokes, colluding with the “Leftists” who pretend to be Marxists, spreading reactionary rhetoric from within to attack Marxism, while fascists attack from outside. They consciously serve to maintain Nazi rule through this method.
Therefore, such a video title immediately catches their attention, being “Leftist on the Net” and criticizing one of their favorite games, “Plants vs. Zombies.” Plus, the video creator, following the usual style of fascists—avoiding logical and thorough theoretical debates, preferring to indulge in thoughtless personal attacks for entertainment (their brains have long been degraded by prolonged indulgence)—intentionally only extracts a small part of the forum article for other fascists to enjoy. Despite its low quality, it attracted a lot of fascist attention, garnering nearly 270,000 views.
Fascists celebrate in the comments below the video, as if this is another great victory in slandering Marxism.
A graduate student who claims to have studied Marxism loudly proclaims, “Art can be separated from politics!” What does he mean by social relations and lifestyle? It’s unclear, but he then profoundly exposes his view: “Not all artistic works contain political metaphors.” From this, we see that in his eyes, “social relations” and “lifestyle” are separate from “political metaphors.” The content that most artistic works reflect is “social relations” and “lifestyle,” while “political metaphors” are not necessarily included.
What are “social relations” and “lifestyle”? Marx said, “The sum of production relations constitutes the so-called social relations, which make up the so-called society.” (Marx & Engels Selected Works, Volume 1, p. 363). Therefore, it is essentially the total of production relations, reflecting the relations among people. In the game Plants vs. Zombies, the zombies—armed with cannons, machine guns, poison gas, barbed wire, and bombs—kill unarmed, poorly dressed zombies holding old labor tools, which reflects the bourgeoisie’s domination over the proletariat and their use of this dominance to slander the proletariat—such social relations, isn’t it?
Consistently anti-communist fascists say, “Look! This is evidence from fifty years ago!”
The “plants vs. zombies” enthusiast, who is unlearned and lacks thinking ability, completely disregards the original forum article, spouting nonsense, deceiving himself, and loudly claiming “This is over-interpretation!”
The video creator himself is even more reactionary, openly proposing to physically eliminate the forum by reporting it to Nazi police, opposing China’s communist movement.
Afterward, the creator still found it unsatisfactory and continued attacking the forum in a similar manner, producing more reactionary videos. Due to their lesser influence compared to this video, and because fascist comments are generally similar, I will not quote further.
From attacking the forum, they moved on to attacking forum members who are trying to reform their thoughts, attempting to hinder the forum’s development by spreading minority and garbage opinions online, blocking the revolutionary fire with internet violence—an impossible task!
2. The vile face of the author himself
From the above discussion, it’s clear that the author is exactly the kind of petty-bourgeois rightist who lives off parasitism, indulges in lust, and is extremely anti-communist. This is further evidenced by his list of posted videos and followed accounts.
Moreover, this person is even more disgusting: when posting a series of reactionary artistic works of low quality, he also pretends to be a patriotic democratic figure, talking about “Leftist on the Net but not truly left,” which is utterly nauseating! He pretends to be a foreign communist organization he knows little about, crying fake tears, while viciously attacking and insulting China’s own communist movement—this is the typical opportunism of fascist profiteers!
In his video “Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Anti-Japanese War — [Lyrics] ‘Never, Japanese Devils’ (No, Molotov Rewritten Lyrics),” he shamelessly advocates for the Kuomintang generals’ slaughter of the people, claiming the “Heavenly Furnace” tactics are useless, shouting “The Japanese division that penetrated the Heavenly Furnace is hopelessly beyond rescue!”
It’s clear that fascists who love insulting and attacking forums are themselves “Leftists on the Net.”
3. Impact
Despite fascists frantically attacking organizations and forums through various means—spreading rumors, slander, and reporting—history’s laws will not change because of the shrill cries of a tiny minority of fascists.
The actions and insults of the author and fascists do not prove their correctness but only reveal their reactionary nature. The video creator himself is a living example. Based on our analysis of his video content and himself, isn’t it because he is idle all day, indulging in various low-level pleasures and spiritual opium, that he ultimately turns to anti-communism? His series of videos not only fail to prove the forum wrong but actually confirm its correctness. He sets an example, telling revolutionary sympathizers and the masses that those who live off others will indulge in spiritual opium and, by doing so, walk the road of anti-party, anti-communist, and anti-people!
Meanwhile, although bilibili is the most reactionary among bourgeois video platforms, with most users being petty-bourgeois rightists, there are still some voices in the comments below the insulting videos that support the forum’s articles. This fully proves that, apart from a small handful of reactionary petty-bourgeois rightists, the vast majority of petty-bourgeois people are willing to accept revolutionary theories and agree with revolutionary principles.
As Fenghuo Flame said in “The Road of Future Revolution in China”:
“The petty bourgeoisie tends to be overall backward but also has the potential to turn towards the proletariat.”
"However, hope for transformation and revolution still lurks within students. As Chinese society polarizes more severely, competition among petty-bourgeoisie intensifies, and the oppression from parents and schools toward students grows heavier. This will inevitably arouse students’ dissatisfaction with the bourgeois education system and capitalist political system, prompting their reflection. Although students have long lived parasitically off others, the capitalist social system will inevitably cast most of them into the ranks of exploited wage laborers. Faced with the only path of decline for the petty bourgeoisie—either scheming to be a good bourgeois dog, getting some scraps, or accepting the identity of the proletariat and rising up to fight against this unjust old society and joining the proletarian revolutionary torrent—that is the inevitable choice before these students.
Young students, despite being influenced by bourgeois education, and poisoned by spiritual opium and low-level pleasures, are still more open-minded than those who have been immersed in selfishness their whole lives. Their worldview is still developing and growing, with room for revolutionary transformation. With perseverance and determination, enduring long and painful ideological transformation, and shedding this decayed bourgeois culture from their minds, China’s young students still have great potential. They should recognize the inevitable demise of capitalism and the victory of socialism, join the great proletarian ranks, and participate in the righteous cause of liberating all humanity. All Marxists and revolutionary organizations in China should value this small bourgeois revolutionary force, actively encourage, support, and guide them onto the bright path of proletarian revolution. China’s revolution will dispel the gloom from our youth, making them once again “the sun at 8 or 9 in the morning”!
