Birth issues have become a very painful problem for Zhongxiu in recent years. However, the ruling class has never addressed the fundamental reason behind this — the poverty of the working people. If they did, the bourgeoisie would no longer be called bourgeoisie. Zhongxiu always uses Confucianism as a weapon to carry out reactionary propaganda, forcing workers, especially women, to willingly become reproductive machines. Recently, Youhao Hospital in Heyuan, Guangdong, set up several “Family Education Public Welfare Exhibits” in the hospital waiting hall, with signs saying, “The first-born children of mothers who have had abortions tend to be rebellious, strong-willed, quick-tempered, confrontational with parents, underweight, with low IQ, and weak constitution during adolescence. Mothers who have not had abortions mostly give birth to obedient, filial, intelligent, healthy, law-abiding, and conscientious children.” Of course, this is nonsense.
An opinion article in The Beijing News stated that although the hospital’s original intention might be to promote awareness of the dangers of abortion, even so, it should be based on scientific evidence. However, Zhongxiu’s propaganda is not just absurd and ridiculous, nor just “violating science.” The sign below the display explicitly states, “Abortion is the severing of ancestral bloodlines, the greatest act of filial rebellion.” “Exhibiting images of abortion hazards is the greatest public welfare undertaking in today’s society.” Clearly, Zhongxiu’s absurd statements are entirely aimed at promoting the reactionary Confucian idea of “Three acts of unfilial piety, with having no descendants being the greatest.” To this end, they do not hesitate to make a fool of themselves.
A netizen with an IP address in Guangdong said on Weibo that there is a very strong concept of favoring boys over girls in Heyuan, with widespread fetal gender testing and frequent illegal female abortions. Now, with China’s birth rate declining repeatedly, the Zhongxiu traitor group, which relies on cannibalism and blood-drinking to survive, cannot solve the poverty of the working people nor oppose Confucian ideas. The Confucian concepts they promote and the patriarchy they defend are the biggest culprits of female abortions! While they promote “the harm of abortion and miscarriage to women,” they openly write below the display, “Abortion and miscarriage harm the male side and his family,” “Abortion is killing children,” “Abortion severs the bloodline of the male ancestors, damages the vitality of the male family, and destroys the entire family’s life information.” How ironic that women harmed by abortion are considered less important than the fictitious “family vitality”!
Under capitalism, marriage and all social relations have shed their veneer of warmth, leaving only the essence of commodity exchange. In imperialist China, this seemingly equal exchange is actually a severe oppression of women. The propaganda by hospitals like Zhongxiu completely treats women as tools for the male family to continue the bloodline. After this incident, many women on Weibo exposed these reactionary slogans, sarcastically calling it “a one-second time travel.” Youhao Hospital in Heyuan, Guangdong, had to remove the slogans overnight and fled in disgrace. No monarch can issue orders on economic conditions, and Zhongxiu’s attempt to promote female childbirth through “Confucian governance with Confucianism” is nothing but a pipe dream.

Earlier, after school, I saw this kind of slogan prominently posted on an electric tricycle with a cargo box at the school gate, saying that abortion is killing life and so on. At that moment, I mistakenly thought it was someone who had come out of that stupid temple where my mom forced me to go to a “summer camp.” I had only seen such blatant promotion of this idea in temples before.

I agree, I only see this kind of viewpoint in videos of religious fanatics promoting idealism. Moreover, the viewpoint on this billboard makes it seem as if only women want to have abortions, as if it’s all the woman’s fault, which is disgusting.
