Duoyi Network Company: Cruel exploitation of workers

On January 8th, a screenshot of a text message leaked online, showing that Duoyi Network Company demanded employees to reimburse a total of 14,83 meal expenses during their three years of employment. Calculated at 30 yuan per meal, the employee needs to return 44,490 yuan for meals, and additionally pay overdue interest and company recovery fees based on the one-year loan market quotation rate, sparking social concern. In fact, as early as when signing the labor contract, Duoyi Company stipulated that if employees have legal disputes with the company upon resignation, they must compensate the company 30 yuan per meal (some say the regulation is 50 yuan), with malicious intent. In capitalist society, one side accumulates wealth, the other side accumulates poverty. Programmers help the gaming industry bourgeoisie divide the surplus value, but they only receive minimal compensation. To gain more profit, the gaming industry bourgeoisie always seeks to intensify exploitation of employees, increasing profits. Deducting wages or even inventing charges and demanding so-called “meal fees” are methods used by these evil gaming industry bourgeoisie.

Previously, Duoyi Network Company had already gained a notorious reputation. It strengthened exploitation of employees by extending working hours and increasing work intensity. Duoyi implements the “995” work system from Monday to Friday, requiring employees to work from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with only a one-hour break, without overtime pay or compensatory leave. The company enforces strict control, forbidding mobile phone use during work, and those who violate are publicly criticized and talked to. To prevent employee resistance, Duoyi Network Company employs divisive and enslaving tactics. It requires employees to delete WeChat contacts, forbids joining groups with current or former colleagues, encourages reporting and collective punishment, attempting to divide employees and organize them to oppose Duoyi’s brutal oppression. In Duoyi’s shareholding structure, Xu Bo firmly controls most of the shares. Tianyancha shows that Guangzhou Duoyi Network Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 360 million yuan, is held by Xu Bo and Guangzhou Haoran Investment Partnership (Limited Partnership) with 99.5% and 0.5%, respectively, and the latter is 96% owned by Xu Bo. Xu Bo is the decisive authority in the company, wielding arbitrary power over employees. According to media reports, as early as early 2019, Duoyi’s chairman and major capitalist Xu Bo demanded employees who had been with the company for a year to express gratitude or feedback, sending “thank you red envelopes” ranging from 100 to 500 yuan. Later, at the annual meeting, Xu Bo announced he would refuse all red envelopes and return ten times the amount to employees who sent them. Duoyi then declared this behavior as “testing the more well-intentioned employees,” actually testing those who are more servile and obedient to help Xu Bo and other capitalists divide surplus value. Xu Bo himself lives a life of excess, parasitizing on his employees, yet still expects employees to thank him—an act of shamelessness. In 2020, Xu Bo launched another “test,” stating in the company group that due to good company performance and significant profit growth, employees would voluntarily accept a 10% salary reduction. In November of the same year, Duoyi issued a statement on Weibo regarding the “voluntary salary reduction,” claiming that the total annual salary of all participants would significantly increase, with an average increase of over 100,000 yuan, and some of the increase would be paid as year-end bonuses. Xu Bo hoped to tame employees through this method, buying a loyal group of workers to maintain the capitalist order of Duoyi Network. As a so-called major capitalist with a net worth of over 20 billion yuan, Xu Bo is also notorious. During his long immersion in the reactionary culture of gaming pornography and brutal exploitation, he developed extreme bourgeois individualism and hedonism—selfish, decadent, reactionary. Under brutal oppression, Duoyi employees have rebelled, causing Duoyi Network to repeatedly fall into “labor disputes” it would rather avoid. Whenever employees win their lawsuits through struggle, Xu Bo laments that the judiciary is too “dark” and resents why it cannot be more fascist. Regarding women, capitalist Xu Bo reveals his degenerate and patriarchal face, claiming to be “China’s first father,” practicing a foul polygamous system, and having fathered over a dozen children through surrogacy.

Faced with such reactionary Duoyi Company and its capitalists, employees should not limit themselves to the framework of labor law to fight for their rights but should unite with the working people, participate in the socialist revolution to eliminate such reactionary companies, punish evil capitalists, and overthrow the entire capitalist system.

The modern gaming industry’s bourgeois morals are very corrupt, not just Xu Bo alone. For example, the logo of the team “Game Science” that developed “Black Myth: Wukong” is a sperm, and their recruitment ads still feature male masturbation, which is very vulgar and obscene.

I didn’t expect it to become this disgusting…

Wow, that’s so disgusting

Absurd, it has reached the point of causing mental attacks on people. Only today, in a fascist imperialist country like China, can such a barbaric capitalist company exist.

I think he should be taken out and paraded! When armed struggle comes, these capitalists will all be reckoned with!

Liquidation is definitely necessary, but saying that using copper headbands to beat people is a bit over the top. We are different from the bourgeoisie; we don’t engage in abuse. If executions are to be carried out, they will definitely be done after a public trial.

Got it, I prefer verbal confrontation over physical conflict, but they really don’t handle affairs properly, I was quite angry at the time.

Yes, we must let the people judge these reactionary elements, according to their reactionary severity—educational measures for the reactionaries, reform through labor for the reactionaries, and execution for those who deserve it. Of course, these heinous capitalists must be killed to avenge the class hatred.

Copper head belt pulling people, all done by black guards during the Cultural Revolution

Thank you comrades, I know my expression was inappropriate, and I have corrected it.

It must be a struggle meeting first, exposing his crimes, holding a public trial, so that the people can judge after knowing his crimes. If there’s a copper headband, the victim can choose whether to draw straws; whether to draw or not is up to him.

For these guys, they are ones who cannot be kept; they need to be publicly executed, hanging them on streetlights is even cheap for them.

Please note that the content contains sensitive and potentially defamatory information. Here is the translation:

Dig into this post: from September to October 2024, Duoyi Network again carried out layoffs, forcing employees to “resign voluntarily,” which is essentially illegal dismissal without compensation. If employees do not “resign voluntarily,” they are threatened with blackening their background checks, demanded to pay tens of thousands in meal expenses, and even threatened against their family members. It is also said that employees adding colleagues on WeChat is a “red line” for the company. One programmer who refused to “resign voluntarily” was threatened and continuously harassed to resign voluntarily. To target this employee, suspected Xu Bo himself even intervened with threats, and two of this employee’s colleagues also “resigned voluntarily.” In the end, only after several laid-off employees collectively sued did they win the labor arbitration, but it seems the company is still appealing. The company’s reactionary extent has exceeded my imagination, but it also shows that it is actually very weak. It uses illegal means to exploit employees, which indicates that legal methods can no longer allow capitalists to achieve average profits in competition, nor maintain normal company operations. 分享一下年底被广州某游戏公司裁员的经历_牛客网

What is interesting about this article is that the poster was disgusted for a long time by the capitalists, labor aristocrats, and labor traitors. Originally, they wanted to give up the struggle, but after seeing that two of their colleagues were “voluntarily resigned” because they were suspected of adding him on WeChat to communicate, they continued the struggle. This shows that even programmers who tend to live a petty-bourgeois life still have proletarian feelings, at least sympathizing with colleagues in the same company and feeling dissatisfied with the oppression under capitalist society. These people can also be objects of unity.

Revisit this post again; recently I saw the sins committed by Xu Chou. This person is a pure lecherous man. This big capitalist actually has over three hundred children, and also abuses, beats, and imprison his own children.
