
Nikola Aleksandrovich Shors, a commander of the Red Army of Soviet Russia, led the Red Army to defeat and annihilate the White Army led by Petrilura during the process of consolidating the newly established Soviet regime and fighting against domestic and foreign enemies, sacrificing on August 30, 1919. Stalin praised him as a “talented hero” in the “Brief Course on the History of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks).”
