Recently, I saw the news about the so-called “knitting sweaters for trees” in Zhongxiu, and I felt it was utterly absurd. It reminded me of a painting I saw before criticizing the socialist China’s critique of the Soviet Union, where some dogs in the Soviet Union could wear expensive clothes, while some children had no clothes at all. Now, Zhongxiu has surpassed the Soviet Union; trees are even not animals anymore. Moreover, the behavior of riding on the people’s heads and indulging in luxury and wastefulness, which is still praised by the media and entertainment, is truly decayed.

After all, for them, giving the wealth to the laboring people for no reason is a loss-making behavior. After satisfying the needs of the masses, they can’t sell it anymore. But wasting these assets can eliminate inventory and make it easier for them to continue production. Because doing so is beneficial to themselves, such a ridiculous situation occurs.
