Musk X Platform: China Uses “Porn Flood” to Submerge Dissent During Social Turmoil
According to British media The Telegraph, Elon Musk’s social media platform X accuses Beijing authorities of flooding the site with大量pornographic content to drown out protests and dissenting voices. The latest incident may involve reports and comments related to Zhang Youxia’s fall from power.

Author: Xia RongThe report quotes X’s product director Nikita Bier claiming that the Chinese government is responsible for the increase in spam and pornographic content reported by users.
Bier stated: “Whenever political unrest occurs in China, the Chinese government injects大量pornographic content into X’s search results to prevent the public from understanding the real situation in real time. This is a very difficult problem, but we are aware of it and are working hard to address it.”
The report notes that Bier was responding to a complaint from an X user who said that when searching for Chinese posts, the results page was flooded with “spam and illegal advertisements.”
X (formerly Twitter) has been banned in China since 2009 and is blocked by the Great Firewall. However, the app can still be used in regions like Hong Kong and Macau, where internet regulations differ from mainland China. X is also accessible in Taiwan.
Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping launched a purge of military high-ranking officials, including the removal of General Zhang Youxia. This purge has sparked widespread speculation among overseas Chinese communities.
For a long time, China has been accused of using fake accounts to spread false information on social media and attacking pro-democracy activists.
In 2024, the fake information research organization DRFLab reported that suspected Chinese fake accounts harassed anti-communist activists, including sending death threats and cruel animal videos.
As early as November 2022, Chinese spam accounts flooded the X platform to suppress digital protests against the “zero-COVID” policy.
Before Elon Musk acquired the platform in 2022, Twitter recorded and deleted tens of thousands of suspected China-coordinated fake accounts.
After the acquisition, Musk drastically cut the content moderation and security teams of X. However, according to X’s latest transparency report for the second half of 2024, the platform deleted 335 million accounts suspected of manipulation and spam.
This direct criticism of China by X executives contrasts sharply with Musk’s usual cautious attitude towards Beijing.
Musk’s Tesla electric vehicles heavily rely on the Chinese market, with its Shanghai Gigafactory producing nearly one million cars annually, making it Tesla’s largest manufacturing base worldwide.
The billionaire also publicly opposed Trump’s trade war against China and criticized U.S. tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, supporting a “zero-tariff” stance.
This week, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited China on a state visit, despite Trump warning that doing business with China is “very dangerous.”
In January 2025, Musk also opposed the U.S. government’s ban on TikTok, a social app launched by Beijing’s ByteDance, stating that the ban “violates freedom of speech.”
However, it is rare, but Musk also criticized China’s long-term ban on the X platform as “lacking balance,” and said “this situation needs to change.”
Information operations approved by Beijing
According to U.S. tech website PCMag.com, Bier’s tweet pointed out that the source of these spam messages can be traced back to “5 to 10 million accounts,” which were apparently created before X began cracking down on newly registered accounts.
The report states that although there is no direct evidence linking the Chinese government to these spam accounts, Bier’s tweet implied that this large-scale spam operation was tolerated and approved by Beijing.
China’s current political stance involves deliberately fostering a culture of pornography and male dominance. The Chinese leftist circles are also filled with individuals with personal ambitions and corrupt, filthy ideas. The Chinese government is very satisfied with this situation. They are well aware of the so-called online leftist groups; the Public Security Bureau under the Ministry of Public Security even maintains a “Leftist Personnel List,” and strictly monitors groups using VPNs and certain overseas social media platforms, especially Telegram, which is a focus of their surveillance. However, they are confident in their crackdown on those who actively oppose them. They allow the proliferation of leftist groups on Telegram and XMPP, because these groups do not truly engage in revolutionary activities or connect with the working and peasant masses. They only wave the Marxist banner while indulging in various spiritual opiates, claiming to be Marxists with dog heads, and scheming for power. In reality, these leftist groups are highly overlapping with groups obsessed with second-dimensional (anime, manga, etc.) and various pornographic novels, comics, animations, movies, and games.
During the pandemic, the Chinese government directly lifted the firewall restrictions on foreign porn sites, and there are no strict restrictions on domestic porn sites either. The regime supports male chauvinist forces to oppress women to maintain their class rule. They fear mass movements of workers and peasants, secret activities of Marxist groups, and other small bourgeois rights movements (the bourgeois liberals are not a threat because they are all cowardly and have fled abroad, unable to influence Chinese politics). The Chinese feminist movement is one of their main targets. The feminist movement in China is quite complex, including reactionary factions advocating replacing gender oppression with class oppression, promoting the idea that being a “strong woman” can escape gender oppression; as well as those who betray women’s dignity and independence, relying on men, and pursuing “rights of the weak” (like “I am a woman, I can do it too”). These two factions are the most reactionary but not the most influential. Among feminist movements, there is also a popular petty-bourgeois mutual aid movement, where oppressed women hope to “stick together for warmth” and escape male oppression. These movements often produce various problems, such as worshiping the bourgeoisie and government, believing that the bourgeoisie can solve gender oppression; or promoting women’s mutual aid, like “girls help girls,” and demonizing all men. However, most women involved in these feminist movements are genuinely oppressed by China’s capitalist patriarchy. These feminist activities are often conducted on social media platforms like Weibo and Douban, but all these activities are strictly monitored and suppressed by the regime. The regime’s most intense repression is against proletarians and oppressed women, and their fear and hatred of women’s liberation and awakening are no less than their fear of the liberation of the proletariat. That’s why the government actively creates online public opinion supporting reactionary male chauvinism, spreads pornography culture wildly, and uses various political and economic means to oppress and persecute women in reality.
The above content is meant to encourage comrades to think clearly and understand that women’s liberation is part of the proletarian revolution, while male chauvinist ideas are one of the pillars of the Chinese capitalist society. As Marxists, the choice is clear. Both men and women comrades should actively participate in social practice, transform themselves into proletarians, improve their theoretical literacy and ideological consciousness, and promote China’s proletarian revolution and women’s liberation movement.
A great nation that boasts five thousand years of civilization, which has prospered, developed, and continued through the struggles of the working people for thousands of years, has today fallen into moral depravity and corrupt customs under the reestablishment of capitalism. Without eradicating the Chinese revisionist traitor group’s rule and clearing away the influence of male chauvinist scum in society, the Chinese nation is truly not far from national extinction and racial annihilation. Whether to recognize gender oppression and women’s liberation is a touchstone for true or false Marxism. As a Marxist, I hope that all comrades should resolutely stand on the side of resisting, opposing, and criticizing male chauvinist pornographic culture.
Rebellion has been used to divert conflicts, exploiting pornography to numb the working people, reaching the worst levels.
Very reactionary means, inciting the masses to fight against the masses, inciting men to oppress women. In this way, the oppressed internal weaklings turn their blades against the even weaker, and will not oppose the Chinese revisionists. Their capitalist-roaders predecessors have long used such tactics of inciting the masses to fight against the masses, and today’s Chinese revisionists are even more cunning and treacherous.
Today, I happened to see this news during work. I used to think that Twitter (X) was a gathering place for pornography, and just watching Twitter was associated with viewing pornography, but I didn’t expect that the Chinese revisionist regime would deliberately post大量色情内容 on Twitter. However, this is indeed the case. By circumventing the firewall, one can see a lot of information from outside the wall, as well as many dark aspects of the Chinese revisionist regime. Therefore, the regime intentionally posts大量色情内容 to attract people who bypass the firewall to view these materials, thereby shifting their class stance towards the oppressors. This naturally helps maintain the oppressive order of the regime, and they won’t want to overthrow it. During the pandemic, the regime also relaxed restrictions on foreign pornography to suppress反抗 by the petty bourgeoisie through this method.
All this大量色情内容 is not created out of thin air but is the result of forcing many women to sell their appearances, being humiliated and raped to produce such content. These women are not only physically bullied and tortured but also fantasized about by countless perverts, and mentally raped and attacked. This kind of torture and harm accompanies these victims throughout their lives. I once read an article about how pornography tortures these women, which left a deep impression.

In fact, I used to be someone who frequently watched pornography and masturbated, harboring reactionary male chauvinist ideas that objectify women. Even now, these ideas have not been completely eradicated. Such思想 of insulting and attacking oppressed women is also a form of剥削阶级思想, a思想 that takes pleasure in others’ suffering. It should be thoroughly eradicated.
https://medium.com/@ambercheng Bourgeois male chauvinists are so beastly; after raping women, they still want to touch women’s eyes to see if they ‘react’.
The Great Firewall of Zhongxiu is not simply a technical measure, nor is it as they boast, capable of protecting people’s information security. The working people who harbor hatred towards Zhongxiu’s rule lack the technical skills and time to bypass the firewall to obtain relatively authentic information or to engage in secure online activities. Meanwhile, the wealthy petty bourgeoisie (especially students) who have the ability and free time to access the outside internet generally do not oppose Zhongxiu’s rule on class grounds; most of them bypass the firewall just to watch pornography or seek other forms of low-level entertainment, or they act as reactionaries such as liberals or pinks politically. Looking at posts on X, one can see the quality of Chinese users who bypass the firewall. Now that Zhongxiu is still posting大量垃圾信息 (a large amount of spam) on X, it is truly shocking. This also shows that Zhongxiu’s rule is teetering and they are forced to further strengthen fascist dictatorship online to prevent the masses (even though the composition of those bypassing the firewall is quite complex) from obtaining any information opposing Zhongxiu.
As the Zhongxiu regime’s economy continues to deteriorate, the masses are rising in opposition, and its rule is on the brink of collapse. If the Zhongxiu does not set up the Great Firewall, in just a few days the people will be able to tear apart the state’s machinery. The more it feels its ruling position is in danger, the more it will strengthen fascist dictatorship, incite mass conflicts, and divert contradictions. Combining with the analysis post about the central bank’s 800 billion yuan buyout reverse repurchase agreements posted a few days ago, it suggests that Zhongxiu will have to invest capital into military-industrial enterprises within a few years to prepare for war, and that the Third World War is about to begin (I even saw some fans on Bilibili claiming that Zhongxiu is preparing to attack Taiwan in 2027). Zhongxiu is now frantically spreading garbage information, trying to confuse the public. I believe this is the beginning of Zhongxiu’s final madness; once imperialist war breaks out, it will be doomed!
My sister said her teacher said Taiwan would return in 2027, so it’s not entirely unbelievable (?).
What does it mean? I didn’t understand.
What I mean is, the screw said that the fans on Bilibili said 2027 will attack Taiwan, but my sister’s teacher also said Taiwan will reunify in 2027, so I feel that the 2027 attack on Taiwan might not necessarily be false.
Although it has a bit of the meaning of “three men make a tiger”
And I always feel that this teacher knows a lot but doesn’t dare to say, for example, he said: “Don’t be surprised by what happens in the next ten years.”
I feel like what you’re saying sounds a bit like jumping to conclusions without sufficient evidence. As the economic and political crises in various capitalist countries around the world intensify, they will inevitably be resolved through a world war. However, the specific timing and form of such a conflict definitely require concrete evidence for any reasonable speculation. Your way of speaking doesn’t really have much basis.
Indeed, I was out of touch with reality
The Chinese reformist regime is extremely reactionary. I have long noticed that whenever there are particularly heinous criminal cases or major political events in society, a few celebrity scandals or similar gossip always appear on the trending searches, completely monopolized by the reactionary bureaucrats and the bourgeoisie, relying on these bourgeois lackeys to cover up social darkness and political corruption. This proves that it is indeed the case. This also demonstrates that the Chinese reformist regime is extremely weak and deeply afraid of the masses discovering the truth, which is why they implement firewalls and try to limit the vision of most people within the scope allowed by the regime, banning all speech that is unfavorable to their rule. I used to have no idea about the existence of firewalls, and now ordinary people are even less aware. Those who learn to circumvent the firewall and access foreign websites are mostly from the affluent petty bourgeoisie and above. Even if they see the true face of the regime, they mostly shift to a liberal stance because they want to become exploiters and rulers and are dissatisfied with the regime. They have no intention of pursuing social revolution. “Those who truly understand are practitioners.” The eyes of the broad masses are sharp. Even if they cannot see the exposés of Western countries’ fascist regimes (which are often for their own benefit), they are soberly aware of who our enemies are and who our friends are, because they themselves have suffered brutal repression from fascist state power. Justice-minded people will continue to struggle even under the regime’s extreme barbaric internet information control. For example, on platforms like Douyin, the “Same City” section often shows news of people’s struggles across different regions, but due to fascist dictatorship, these are quickly deleted or restricted. Therefore, the truth cannot be hidden. No matter what temporarily covers up the reactionary rule of the regime, it will ultimately be thoroughly shattered by the anger of the people!
Today, China’s fascists are just like their grandmasters, the German, Italian, and Japanese fascist leaders. Clearly, they are constantly satisfying their perverted sexual desires through persecution, rape, and insulting women, yet they loudly claim that many spontaneous women’s rights movements are extreme feminism or little fairy girls, honestly persecuting men. Just like the Japanese fascists in the past, who invaded China under the pretext of destroying Chinese railways, they are utterly shameless.
Some fascist male chauvinists go to great lengths to steal other women’s personal privacy by pretending to be women online, infiltrating women’s chat groups to steal private images. They feel no shame when facing such actions, but develop a fear of women. When spontaneously forming mutual aid organizations, they loudly complain, claiming that women are making a fuss over nothing.
The fascist male chauvinists of Zhongxiu openly support America’s largest porn site Pornhub on Twitter https://m.facebook.com/theinitium/photos/
Unbelievable, now choosing smaller harm to avoid bigger harm
