Image According to reports from The New York Times and BBC, the UN Security Council passed Trump’s 20-point plan with the result of Russia and China abstaining. The plan includes: establishing an “International Stabilization Force (ISF)”, and ensuring the permanent disarmament of non-state armed groups including Hamas. The internal security forces will be “responsible for ensuring regional security, supporting the demilitarization of Gaza, dismantling terrorist infrastructure, removing weapons, and ensuring the safety of Palestinian civilians.”
“According to the resolution, the funds for Gaza’s reconstruction after two years of war will come from a trust fund supported by the World Bank.”
“Under the resolution, Israeli security forces and border police will work alongside the Palestinian Authority and police.”
Trump was very pleased with the voting results. He posted on Truth Social: “Congratulations to the entire world for this incredible vote at the United Nations Security Council — recognizing and supporting the ‘Peace Committee’ (Board of Peace) chaired by me, including the world’s most powerful and respected leaders.”
China and Russia abstained, citing “lack of specific details” and demanding more “autonomy” for Palestine. I suspect that their abstention was due to their imperialist group’s demands for establishing puppet regimes not being met.
According to the content of the resolution, the UN army and “trusteeship” will resurface, directly banning Hamas’s revolutionary armed forces.

Hamas stated in a statement on November 18: “Sending international troops to carry out missions and play roles in the Gaza Strip, including disarming resistance fighters, making them neutral, and turning them into a party supporting the occupation.”

The organization continued: “(The resolution) imposes an international trusteeship mechanism in the Gaza Strip, which is rejected by our people and their factions.”

This indicates that Hamas has not surrendered, and according to Al Jazeera, the Palestinian people also oppose this resolution.

Al Jazeera interviewed Palestinians in Gaza City to hear their views on the UN Security Council’s approval of the plan for Gaza proposed by Trump.

“I completely reject this decision,” said Muamen Abdul-Malik, “Our people… have the ability to govern themselves. We do not need Arab countries or foreign armies to rule us. We are the people of this land, and we will take responsibility for it.”

Mohammed Hamdan stated that the plan would establish and deploy an international stability force to achieve demilitarization in the region, but this does not serve the interests of the Palestinians.

“This will disarm the resistance, even though resistance is a legitimate right of the occupied people.”

Sana Mahamed Kahir said that Palestinians reject this decision because it would bring uncertainty to Gaza.

She said, “They initially said that the Palestinian Authority would take over Gaza, and we were excited about that. But the actions of the international forces are still unclear, and we don’t know what will happen in Gaza tomorrow or the day after.”

“This may help Trump strengthen control over Gaza and, as he previously said, establish a ‘Riviera’ there. Nothing can be guaranteed.”

However, only the Palestinian National Authority, this group of traitors, calls this resolution a “first step” toward peace, fully demonstrating that this authority is just a dog of imperialist thugs, a comprador organization that completely sells out national interests.
