Are there ways for students to defend their rights after food delivery robberies? Collusion between officials and businesses only calms the situation

Under the dictatorial rule of Nazi China, students mostly suffered from the toxic influence of heavy and reactionary coursework. They were trapped and locked within bourgeois educational institutions, subjected to bourgeois persecution and exploitation—they were not only deprived of the freedom to fully develop themselves and to resist reactionary authority, but even the freedom to decide their clothing, food, and shelter was taken away by the bourgeoisie. Not long ago, a school in Yunnan exposed a scandal where, in the cafeteria, rotten zombie meat was used to lower costs and maximize profits, ultimately causing students to frequently fall ill and even be diagnosed with high uric acid levels. Recently, at a university in Changchun, Jilin, another incident occurred where a “campus catering company” was caught stealing students’ takeout and throwing it into trash bins. Reports indicate that on October 29, multiple students reported that the catering company at Changchun University’s Tourism College prohibited students from bringing takeout back to dorms, even snatching a student’s takeout and throwing it directly into the trash, and attempting to forcibly drag another student onto a vehicle. This barbaric behavior immediately ignited the anger of students and the public, who stated that the handling of this matter should not be limited to mere apologies, as such actions are no different from robbery. Although officials from Changchun University’s Tourism College repeatedly emphasized that “the campus catering company is not run by their relatives,” as many netizens pointed out incisively: the reason this catering company can act so arrogantly is simply because its chief is related to the principal, relying on nepotism to monopolize campus catering, acting arrogantly and causing trouble. The relevant officials only responded to media inquiries by saying, “The school is actively handling the matter, and the school leadership is holding meetings to discuss the resolution, please stay tuned for official updates. As for the specific situation of the involved catering company, the responsible person said it is not convenient to disclose at this time,” adopting a stance of muddling through and letting the matter fade away.

Under pressure from the public, the college staff stated that “the other party must compensate and apologize to the injured students,” feigning concern as if saying, “We are also thinking of the students.” According to publicly available information, Changchun University’s Tourism College was established in 2011, managed by the Jilin Provincial Department of Education, and is a private institution. The reason it remains standing and even defends the catering company despite widespread criticism is ultimately because “those above” have influence. Just as a school in Yunnan, which fed students rotten meat, only replaced their puppet principal after the incident without any accountability for the board, this incident will most likely end as the college staff said—“not convenient to disclose,” and even a few drinks as punishment will be hard to achieve. The collusion between the Education Bureau and the college, and the close relationship between the college and the catering company, has long been exposed openly to the people.

As an institution of the bourgeois dictatorship, schools are inevitably designed to serve bourgeois interests and constantly think about suppressing students, rather than promoting their “healthy development” as they claim. Under capitalist dictatorship, collusion among bourgeoisie to pursue profits at the expense of the people is commonplace. The incident of stealing students’ takeout and discarding it is just a tiny part of this. To truly free ourselves from the shackles and oppression of capitalist schools, the only viable path is revolution.

Clicking in, I thought it was a middle school, but it turns out it’s a university that doesn’t allow takeout. Now the middle school is intensifying its crackdown on college students. The dormitory building that caught fire previously still requires facial recognition to enter, and after the fire, they also require facial recognition, which seems reasonable. The school’s own problems are being used to tighten control over students. Moreover, many schools now no longer allow bed curtains, and some schools prohibit students from riding electric bikes. The good days for college students are coming to an end, and strict measures should be taken against the schools.
