(1) Less than two days after the explosion at the Gaomi Chemical Plant, on the morning of May 29th around 10 a.m., an explosion occurred near Furong Street, Quancheng Square, Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. According to multiple informed sources near the scene, the fire involved several businesses, including the Agricultural Bank of China (601288) branch that was under renovation. At the time of the incident, the fire was very intense, with twenty or thirty fire trucks arriving. Preliminary judgment suggests that the fire was caused by renovation work at a shop, which spread to a sports brand store, resulting in severe damage. According to official reports, five people were injured, one person is missing, and the cause of the fire is still under further investigation.
According to video footage, the incident involved a small building with a sign reading “Yizhi Bank” hanging on it. The ground floor had two large fires burning, with flames leaping upward through the windows, seemingly burning inside the building as well. Black smoke billowed from the top, obscuring the sky.
From onlookers’ videos, it can be seen that initially only black smoke was coming from the first-floor windows. Within a few dozen seconds, the flames broke through the glass and spread to the second floor, where the balcony railing was burned and deformed. The entire building was quickly enveloped in thick smoke, turning it into a “black box.” The scene had a strong smell of gas, and the small building was reduced to an empty shell.
Public information shows that China Agricultural Bank’s “Yizhi Bank” is a private banking brand launched by ABC on September 29, 2020, in Shanghai. Its predecessor was the private banking department established by ABC in 2010, which is also the second licensed private bank institution in China.
(2) According to the Hebei Hengshui Wuyi County Emergency Management Bureau, around 6:30 p.m. on May 30, an explosion occurred in the workshop of a chemical enterprise in Wuyi County. After the accident, fire, medical, police, and emergency departments organized rescue efforts on-site. The rescue work has concluded, with five people dead and two injured (not life-threatening). The cause of the accident is under investigation.
A chemical industry worker in Hebei, who has experienced boiler explosion accidents, said that chemical companies using boiling and washing kettles generally produce low-nitrogen nitrated cellulose. A boiling and washing kettle is a sealed pressure vessel used for high-temperature, high-pressure cleaning and residual removal in chemical plants. In simple terms, it’s a cleaning tank similar in principle to a pressure cooker used at home, but with completely different purposes and methods.
The worker pointed out that when using a boiling and washing kettle, chemicals such as acids and bases are usually added, and the process involves switching between high and low temperatures or applying pressure and heat. If impurities inside the kettle are not thoroughly removed, nitrification deposits can form. When these deposits encounter vibrations, impacts, high temperatures, and high pressure, they can easily generate nitroglycerin, which has the potential to cause an explosion. The explosive power of such accidents depends on the investigation findings.
(3) At around 12:30 p.m. on May 30, a serious drowning accident occurred at a scrap recycling company in Yuncheng County. An employee accidentally fell into a plastic washing pool while working near the old plastic, and six colleagues fell in during rescue efforts. After the incident, local fire and medical teams quickly responded, rescuing seven people who were hospitalized. As of the report, five people had died, and two were in critical condition.
It is evident that under the reactionary rule of the Zhongxiu Group, there is no real “social stability.” Several major factory safety accidents are entirely inevitable under capitalism, with workers’ lives regarded as worthless. The Zhongxiu Group repeatedly downplays the social impact of major accidents, conceals casualties, and regards “stability” as the top priority. Although laws are supposed to guarantee equality, in class society, the ruling class that controls the state machinery can completely evade the constraints of laws that serve their interests. “Laws are superstructure; they do not reflect universal justice but the common interests of the ruling class.”
The bourgeoisie’s social media still stirs up reactionary ideology online. However, the masses have sharp eyes. No matter how the reactionaries distort facts or invert black and white, the truth cannot be hidden forever. The oppressed proletariat and working masses, through ongoing class struggles, wage disputes with capitalists and their henchmen, and confrontations with brutal police and military forces, will inevitably recognize who the real culprits are. Once revolutionary theory is in the hands of the masses, it immediately transforms into a material force capable of destroying fascism.
