Deleted my Steam account that I used for ten years

I actually came into contact with video games as a form of spiritual opium quite early. Thinking back, I first encountered games like CrossFire in third or fourth grade of elementary school. Later, through various coincidences, I also got in touch with Steam, and unknowingly, I have been using it for ten years, providing a lot of money to continue creating spiritual opium for the bourgeoisie.
Actually, I was conflicted about whether to delete or sell my account. I felt that since I had invested so much time and money into the account, it would be a pity if nothing remained, and I might as well sell it for some money. But then I thought, if I sell it, I might harm someone else, so it’s better to just delete it.

However, some people are still here:

Indeed, some comrades are reluctant to drop out, thinking it’s a “sunk cost,” believing that having invested so much effort before, dropping out would be a loss. But it’s the same as this: keeping a game account only has negative effects of indulgence; going to college is also the same, stopping such activities is the timely cut-loss.

I have also decided to delete my Steam account, and the customer service case has been submitted.

All the games in the library are here, many in number, and it also shows that my life before joining the organization was very decadent. (Feels like promoting toxic grass)

So incredible, so much :exploding_head:

I also went to unregister, but the email verification didn’t pass. I can’t remember which email I used to register the account eight years ago…
Never mind, just uninstall it directly.

What has afterburner been doing lately? Even if you uninstall the game, you should have a plan. It’s been a long time since I saw you post questions or discussions.

Recently, my graduation thesis is almost due, and I am producing academic junk… I finished reading “Critique of the Gotha Programme” and “Feuerbach and the End of German Classical Philosophy”. A few days ago, I started reading the capitalist section of Nankai’s political economy, which is part of the essential readings.
I also plan to look into the scientific and technological progress during Mao Zedong’s era before the anniversary of Dongfanghong-1 on the 24th, trying to write a commentary or reflection or something like that. So I also plan to browse through the magazine “Dialectics of Nature” published by Mí Máng (I have only read one article about the boiling furnace so far).

You’re about to graduate soon, what do you plan to do? Hann said he’s going to participate in labor to reshape his worldview and has requested to join the organization. How about you?

That’s great, then everyone is waiting to see your factory diary. If there are no issues with the observation later, you will be notified.

Sure, sure, absolutely do not go for graduate studies; after finishing graduate studies, people become bad.

After the graduation defense, I can write it soon!

Whenever I think about having to argue loudly with my bourgeois family at that time, I get a headache, and I also need to find some materials criticizing bourgeois individualism — this must be added to the plan.

It’s not necessary. Once you reach a certain level, you’ll get tired of the game, and if you still want to play in the future, you can continue. You will also keep playing… this is purely formalism.

Do you know what “Zhuangshi Duanwan” means? This is not a momentary impulse to delete; it is a symbol and result of ideological struggle.

First of all, your own argument’s logic is contradictory. You first say that once you play to a certain extent, you’ll get tired of it, and then you say that you still want to continue playing in the future. So is it that you get tired of playing and stop, or that you play and still want to continue? Secondly, deleting your Steam account is not the result of me getting tired of playing games; it’s the clear recognition that games are essentially digital opium. Finally, you casually say that you will continue to play without any evidence, which is completely a malicious curse and attack.
